Founding
The NSP-West Philadelphia office was founded in 2003 by University of Pennsylvania students, Will Yu and Beth Ross.

Volunteers
Volunteers are recruited from University of Pennsylvania , Drexel University, and Villanova University .

Partners
NSP-West Philadelphia partners with the Beacon Project, a collaborative effort of the Philadelphia school district and the University of Pennsylvania 's Center for Community Partnerships. The office also has partnerships with the Taylor Tabernacle, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, Philadelphia Department of Health, Childcare Information Services, Solutions for Progress, the Share Food Program, and Fresh Start Food Cupboard.
